8 The two Kenyan stands in both IPM & WOP DUBAI 09 attracted huge interests from various countries and on various products and the participating exporters had overwhelming enquiries from serious buyers of flowers, fruits and vegetables especially from Middle-East region which is increasingly becoming an important market for Kenya's horticultural products. IPM & WOP were a big success for our country and particularly for the growth and diversification of our horticultural export markets and reccommend the continued partipation of Kenya in the subsequent years

8 This year was the first time that Vannucci Piante exhibited at the IPM DUBAI 09 with its own stand and we are very pleased to find that the excellent work of IPM allowed us to present our plants to a great number of operators not only of the Dubai market but also of the Emirates and of the Gulf Area. The IPM DUBAI exhibition is quickly becoming a must for all those companies which considers the Middle East market strategic not only for its size but also as a international showroom.

8 As already last year we could gain at IPM DUBAI 2009 new and interesting contacts to horticultural enterprises in the desert region. Contacts that were already existing could be intensified. That means that we can already report on a return visit of a big horticultural enterprise from Saudi Arabia at our enterprise in Darmstadt. A special highlight was certainly the presentation of a complete greenhouse including innovative PLEXIGLAS-covering as well as an interior fitting under the lead management of the INDEGA. This concept of a collaborative activity with custom-made complete solutions is perfect especially for the new markets.

8 This was the first time we have taken a UK pavilion at this event and our exhibitors were most impressed by the quality of contacts made during the show. Although there were not hoards of visitors the percentage of useful contacts made was very high and made the effort of exhibiting worthwhile. We will certainly be hoping to attract a larger number or UK participants for the next edition of the event in 2010.

8 Helle Oy participated for the first time in IPM DUBAI, but we feel that it was just the right time for us. Our products met the interest of many visitors and we made a lot of promising contacts. We can summarize that IPM DUBAI 2009 was a very good show for Helle Oy.

8 IPM DUBAI is the best hub in Middle East area to get in touch with professionals in horticulture and floriculture sectors. Great projects are actually under process there and the needs for flowers, fertilizers, materials... are important. IPM DUBAI is the place to meet them and to deal with them.

8 The spanish region of Valencia exhibited for the first time at IPM DUBAI 2009, but the expectations of the 10 exhibitors in the common stand have already been totally fulfilled: We received a lot of positive feedback on our products due to their ability to adapt to the desert climate. Therefore most exhibitors could already secure some orders at the show and also expect a successful follow-up business after the fair. We are planning to exhibit again at IPM DUBAI 2010!

8 The Southern United States Trade Association (SUSTA) funded three American horticulture companies at the IPM Dubai International Plant Expo for the first time. The participating companies had the opportunity to meet key distributors, decision makers, buyers and project managers not only from Dubai, but from other Middle Eastern regions such as Qatar, Bahrein, Oman, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi to name a few. The companies' evaluations suggest that they were pleased with their participation at the IPM Dubai plant expo show despite the current economic constraints facing Dubai; a result that the companies describe as ‘refreshing’ when compared to the business slowdown they experience when they participate in US horticulture trade shows.
